Bharat Shah to release RGV Ke Sholay in Bombay
Sources say the duo’s banner VIP Films is gearing up to release the film on a grandiose scale. The banner is looking at a good line-up of cinema chains. The film is slated for a 13 July 2007 release.
Sources close to RGV meanwhile hint that if the High Court rules against Varma, the maker will have to change the film’s title. As Gabbar Singh’s role in the new version is central to the film, Varma may even change the film’s title to Ram Gopal Varma Ka Gabbar, sources say.
The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mohanlal, Ajay Devgan, Prashant Raj Sachdev, Nisha Kothari, Sushmita Sen, Sushant Singh, Rajpal Yadav, Gaurav Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, Abhishek Bachchan and Ganesh Hegde. Written and produced by Ram Gopal Varma, it has music by Bappi Lahiri, Amar Mohile and Vishal Bharadwaj. The film is backed by Adlabs.
